Alias - THE paper-graf king of Hamburg

I'm still trying to find something to use myself on the streets in paper - something both personal and political; I'm off the idea of using paint.  Horrific habit that's really hard to pull-off (literally) w/ out feeling like a vandal; too permanent.  I hate tagging culture:  it really brings a place down and more often than not there's no creative attempt at all.  Though there is one dude going under the moniker of FROST.  His tags are generally quite large and there's an attempt at artistry in his work.  I'll find some today.

I was going to pay €25 t'other day for a book collection of Hamburgs street art.  Flicking through it I realised my own photo archives were bigger and better . . .   so I saved my cash.

Obviously Caveat Emptor is Latin. I cant say I speak the language (except "Puella est in via" which I hear was a very commonly used phrase back then going by the old latin text books)  but apparently it translates to "Let the buyer beware". It just seemed an odd thing to have in a signature. Then again so is a jiving cat. The only reference I could think is a recent British Sea Power lyric.

As an aside, there's some Banksy art in the video game GTA IV. Not found it myself yet but seen some pics.

for sure it's not art, but it made me smile: when i was out for lunch today i noticed a small phrase on a wall that read "alex, should you die, it wouldn't be ebough for me".
written in clean, female calligraphy, the meaning made a funny contrast.

Interesting urban art from Inner City Snail by Slinkachu.

Unfortunately embedding seems to be blocked so you'll have to have a look at the site, pretty cool idea though.  Apparently no snails were harmed in the production of the images (they vegetable based dyes).
