 He was in good hands by then, though I did have to hold the drip thingy for a while - he's actually quite pleased I took them!

turns out he missed major nerves, arteries, etc by 5mm - will have one numb bicep for a few years :(

After all that, I've gone and ordered one of these:

Only mines gonna have snazzy carbon forks. Bit nervous about the whole singlespeed thing, but it all sounds like fun...
Not delivered 'til November, but will let you know how it goes.

is it fixed wheel or single free.when i started cycling back in the stone age everyone reckoned that for winter training single free or fixed was the way to go.

I can recommend buying some pedals.

it comes fixed/fixed (on flip flop hub), but I'm planning on changing to fixed/free at least 'til I'm used to it...
Thinking of some of they dual pedals that are flat on one side and clipless on the other, this sound reasonable?
Haven't got the exact weight - but I reckon it comes in a long way under the patriot :D  Important factor when you live on the 3rd floor.

if your gonna use spd or clipless pedals you might want to make sure you have shoes you can walk in,if you live near any hills.
