Does anyone know what the problem to the left of Conan is? It seemed slightly easier than Conan save for no jug at the top.

Completely off the subject how do you get to the old videos and photos? Or am I just being special?

David, V7, Richie Patterson thing I think. Not sure if you have to do a multiple-fractures-of-your-lower-limbs-solo-death-topout, though.

Thanks. Good problem, doesn't touch Conan though.

The small circuit up top there, (Owler, Mother's pet, Mother cap and Secret garden) has to be the best in the Peak, along with views and varied climbing it never fails to impress even when climbing badly.

not sure its easier.  last time only one out of a VERY strong team managed it while everyone saunterd up conan (even me!).  do you mean the one that starts by a short vertical seam/crack

I was climbing like a lesbian in a fish shop that day, before I managed to rip a muscle on Beachball. Starting up seem onto thin sloping edges, used some properly bizare technique on it before almost falling of ledge walking off. Couldn't touch the E2 on the left hand side.

I'll third that, the slopey crimps are miles smaller than on Conan and run out half way, at which point you either lurch blindly left for a hidden edge not far off the arete or jump for slopers. Loads harder than Conan.

David =  `cheat starter', I used the crack on the left.  If you climb a problem named after yourself will the universe (or at least Mother Cap) disappear in a puff of logic?

i wouldn't have thought it was named after me, what with me not being famous. isn't it named after elton john's girlfriend?

The crack is in, but it's still way harder than Conan.
