How feasible is the approach without a guide (I forgot mine!)

Walk up the road (or drive and pad drop) to the gate and old building at 52.98456157139979, -4.195458679156587
Go through the gate and walk up onto the broad ridge and follow it along, cross a wall in the corner, and you'll see the boulder down to your right below a gnarled dead tree.

Easiest If you keep below the long wall you follow parallel to the ridge then walk up the hill to the top corner of the next wall where you can hop the fence by the boulder ( couple of wobbly rocks).
Once spotted the boulder, easiest approach is continue on the ridge to the holly tree then cut back along down a rock ramp.
Good luck.
I was projecting it on my own with 3 pads, a spotter and 2 big pads may do it.
Comes into the sun late afternoon but evening sessions cool down quickly

Thanks all, UKB comes through with the goods once again! I was ok on my own with one (big) pad and a sit pad, but I do fall well.
