Hmm. Maybe they give a bit then?
In my experience, they stretch and adapt to the foot quite a lot. I also wear 41 in Magos,... and thus bought my first pair of Chimeras in 41 as well. They have been very tight in the beginning; to the degree that it was virtually important to get them on. Fast-forward a couple of weeks of regular wear, and they have become pretty much the most comfortable pair of climbing shoes I've ever had....I prefer to wear them in 41,5 nowadays, however. This makes the break-in period much less of a pain and the end up with roughly the same fit. That is, the smaller shoes just stretch more.
How do you find the Chimera compare to the modern Magos in performance terms? I have a pair of Magos but have never used Chimeras. Always on the look out just in case something should replace Instincts as my go-to...Magos haven't been it although I do find them good for pockets.
