Nearby climbing options are utterly dire. Especially bouldering, sport and trad.
But in an hour or so you'd be getting to Ratho (which is kinda okay!) or Dunkeld or up to the Angus quarries which are.....not quite as good as Ratho, or the Arbroath sea-cliffs which are just plain weird. Two hours you'd get to the Aberdeen sea-cliffs which do have a lot of decent stuff, including some good harder, if very conditionsy, sport (and a thriving scene for such malarkey), or of course The County.
Go West and there's the rest of Scotland although it's wet and quite far away.
In short, be prepared to drive an hour for any sort of climbing, or two hours for a decent choice, and you'll be okay. The weather over that side is more benevolent too.
