Word reaches me that a large hold/flake before the shot holes is now very loose.

Apparently the loose section is about 12ins long long by 4-6inches wide. Removing it permanently would most likely leave a large and ugly rock scar and change the moves. Gluing it back on will be controversial and require someone skilled at this sort of thing.

Either way it needs sorting out one way or the other by someone with knowledge and emotion invested in the route who can take a look and make a decision before some sap goes and pulls it off.

Post a big notice at the bottom "keep off!" .If it hits the ground it will likely break up?

Take it off. The previous break around 1yr ago had left a giant side pull which made going to the shot holes quite a lot easier. Taking the flake off with return it closer to the original state in my opinion.

Scars fade out after a while don't they...? And in all honesty don't look half as bad the shit graffiti at the base of Green Death.
