Bishop rentals
August 27, 2015, 03:01:16 pm
Hi Folks

Looking at heading over to bishop at the start of next year and don't fancy camping. Wondering if anyone knows of any houses or apartments to rent for the month. Or anyone that's done this. All the properties I've seen are unfurnished and I guess without utilities. The motels seem expensive and I can't seem to find a decent one with cooking facilities etc.

Cheers Jack.

This is your place: http://www.thehostelcalifornia.com

Stayed in May because I too hate camping. Fully equipped kitchen which they keep nice and clean, coffee in the mornings, pads and guidebooks to borrow and even a basic woody and campus board in the garage. Plus being full of climbers means it's a good way to find a spot / more pads for the high stuff.

Think I paid between $15 and $20 a night for a bunk in a dorm, it wasn't peak climbing season with it being May though. You can pay more for private rooms which might be good if there's a few of you.

Thanks for that could be just the ticket. Found some flights pretty cheap, time to get it booked and get training i think.
