Any digital-vinyl DJs out there?
August 12, 2004, 02:47:22 pm
- I don't really buy vinyl any more, most of my music is downloaded
- I have about 3000 vinyl 12"'s cluttering up the house
- I wanna free up some room and play both my old and new music

So, I was thinking of transferring all my vinyl (or all that I still want to keep) to .mp3 / .wav and burn them all to DVDs, and then sell my record collection, either in one to a keen buyer or via the pain in the arse ebay each tune method (get more money, but more headaches).

....and replace it all with a new laptop and something like Rane Serato Scratch  Live...

Anyone used Serato Live? Any good? I hear very good reports and is supposed to be much better than Final Scratch, etc.

Anyone interested in buying a large collection of techno/house/old skool ? Some of the rarer old-skool shit will go for £20 p/choon on ebay so I expect to get a lot of dosh for the whole shebang....
