I do find it surprising that so little is known about a route of this quality (surely also one of the hardest slabs in the peak?). You wouldn't get this in the Moors   :-[

You definitely wouldn't get that quality of slab in the Moors, you're right  ;)

Sadly the list of people who care about hard slabs in the Peak is pretty short, and most of them have either climbed it or  posted. However I'm not sure what else you expect to be informed of? I haven't got time to go digging but I'm pretty sure James did it in it's current state, after breaking the pebble.

Does anyone know of any unclimbed peak slabs that Franco would be capable of so he can go and get a Peak first ascent please?

In the gold-mine of a dvd commentary for Consumed they talk about the route though I forget the details, i'll try and listen tonight

No need to be a dick about it. I'm just interested in whether it's been done. I know plenty of things that haven't been climbed, just quite liked this one. Strange attitudes.

Shall we go out on a limb and say that James did it post-break (seems most obvious assumption), and that no-one has done it since? I certainly haven't heard of anyone doing it since so seems reasonable? Would love to give it a go, but am in recovery.

That would seem like a sensible thing to assume. Top notch anyway and I'd imagine fairly possible for a lot of people. Let me know when you're better and I'll give you a belay.

Yes, there's the 'impossible slab' at Millstone and the one to the left of Long Johns at Frogatt.

Both would be significant.

Sheaf is now third on the "Meersbrook Crutch Progression Radius". White Lion first, then Brothers. White Lion has a hot barmaid so probably wouldn't get past there....

Nice! Make sure you wave your wedding ring around when in her vicinity though, don't want to confuse the poor gal.

In it's Current state.

If someone pulls the barmaid wouldn't that significantly alter the current state of the pub, thus rendering all past and future visits to be of a totally different nature.
