What's wrong with The Big Tree?

Even The Woodseats Palace is preferable. Similar clientele but at least they serve some decent beers.

Last time I was in the big tree a guy was feeding crisps to his dog out of his own mouth....

Woodseats Palace is a far classier establishment.

Yes, the pictures and puns are terrible, but that's all part of the charm!

The "Imperial" version of Brewdog's Punk IPA: Hardcore IPA, is now sold in Tesco as their own brand Double IPA.  It's absolutely brilliant - up there with the best American IPAs like Hopslam, Titan and Stone IPA etc - and at 9% is well worth £2 a bottle.

Means going into tesco though. Back around!

some things are more important than principles... and good beer is one of them!

My local morrisons stocks three of the brew dogs beers; punk IPA, trashy blonde and (my personal fave) 5 a.m Saint, a ruby ale. but thats in lincoln.

I once had a 50/50 pint of punk IPA with oakham ale's Citra. The citra is one of the fruitiest hops I've ever had the pleasure of sampling, but was only 3%, so after two pints of that the IPA added a real kick in the mix.  :worms:

Fuck ruining Citra with a different ale, it's a quality refreshing summer ale!

Currently supping on a Roaring Meg (although it's much better from a tap).

The BrewDog pub was one of the best things about spending summer in Aberdeen! Any ale fans been to the Fat Cat in Norwich? If you ever find yourself in Partridge country it's well worth a visit.

Over the festive period I had a few pints of the Adnams Christmas Beer, which was really nicely dry hopped.
and had a few bottles of Knops Beer Co's  Black Cork also very better than very tasty.

The folks visited the Adnam's brewery just before Christmaz and bought a couple of packs of 'Ghost ship' which was excellent.

this thread's gone a bit quiet - boo!
Anyway I've bigged up bristol beer factory on here before, but wanted to mention this:

Man it's good - not really into stout as a rule, but this great.

Not sure I'd want more than one, but the one I've got on the go right now is mighty fine.

Had a pint of Anvil Porter in the York in Broomhill this week - I think they brew it themselves and shit it was really relaly good. Very roasty and coffee-ish. Highly recommended.
