Anyone been to the new sector at St Leger La Baleine?

I am off this Friday and wondered if it was as good as the rest of St Leger, and if there was a new guide for this sector?

Not been but it's supposed to be awesome. It's in the local guide IIRC

The new sector is easily as good as the rest of St Leger, in fact in my opinion it's the best the gorge has to offer as long as it's dry.

If you buy the local guide it has a pull out guide to the sector. If you already have the guide (before the new sector was in it) you can pick up a free copy from the house half way from where you turn off the road to get to the main parking area. It's not the Gite right by the car park but the slightly ramshackle one before it.

I've been a couple times briefly and it is very good, prone to seepage but could be ok this time of year. There's plenty of low-mid 7's on the LH side, but the main event is harder. I remember there being one not-that-good 7b+, an amazing looking 7c+, and lots of 8's, and probably much more besides.

What coulster said ref the guidebook, and La Baleine is flippin awesome!

You walk in from the top road, and this is actually a quicker way to get to Andalouse too (which is perhaps my other favourite sector).

We are heading out there on the 10th...
