I used to like the first Pontas but these dont seem anywhere near as popular and I havent been in a shop that socks them to try them. Are they a bit shit compared to the originals?

I think they're better, a bit tighter than the old ones because if the extra strap. Not entirely sure how the rubber compares as I've not really smeared much with them yet. edges seem just as good.

Agree with the above that third strap makes a big difference. Rubber does seem a bit stiffer though.

I used to love my Pontas mk1 with the exception of the heel which always felt baggy...
Has the heel been tweaked with the extra stappage?
