Holy smokes have you seen the shit there banging on Planet Fear I'm gonna be mince meat!

Funny how so many people have seen Si O tear people a new belly button but how nobodys seen him climb. The guy obviously really hates me, which to be fair is not reflected on my side. As I always say there's nothing like reading a Si O description to get the day off to a tee, they are brilliant.

BUT...Surely he can't expect everyone to just believe all his claims on the evidence of poor second hand accounts and very vague descriptions/topos I mean he is claiming world class standard grades in super fast times, am I out of order? Tell me Iam and I'll shut up for ever.

Think on this first...
I like climbing on my own I find it easier to climb hard, but bear in mind that the hardest thing I have ever claimed is V11ish and people have seen me climb V10/11 so to be fair although I can't prove evey one of my  ascents, it goes without saying, its likley that I have climbed all the problems I have claimed.
Which laeds me to my point... We have someone who is claiming V15 so in my mind  :!: someone :!:  should have seen him climb at least V12/13 and I mean in one complete push...has anyone? Please prove me wrong I'm all ears, if someone has I'll apologise and shut up.

I'd also like to point out that I have never been nasty or threatening to Si (unless provoked) I have merely stated the known facts! So even if Si's proved right I don't  think threatening folks a good way to help your cause!

I would like to point out that you probably could tear me a new belly button as don't fight that often, as you obviosly do judging by all the eye wittness accounts.

Greg, you have made a point of winding Si up on many occasions so you can't exactly expect him not to be pissed off with you.

I believe a posse of Scotland's finest boulderers are heading to Skye to try his stuff, so I'm sure his grades will either be confirmed or refuted then.

Anyway, I'm sure it won't come to violence, Si and yourself both seem sound and able to have a laugh so hopefully you can settle your differences over a beer or at the crag rather than by laying into each other for real.

Right, the way i see it is if there is a line up the rock then that is the problem, thats what should be named and graded - anything else is a variation, an eliminate or an ego massaging, look at me,  bunch of cock.  sort it out boys and just climb the fucking rock.

to be fair tho, to claim the grade, as he does he should climb it the way it is graded. the way he is doing (straight up, no eliminates) is v6 not 7b+ which would make it about v8+.

propper way dont mean contrived and hard at all! just to claim a problem that goes sans foot locks (and that hold in the roof) with that hold and foot locks aint right!! thats what i ment by propper way.

the owen got it right, the rules make what is a small venue with little scope quite interesting.

just combing my feathers back into place

Im not saying you can or cant use anyting. eliminates are fine and always have been .  its getting berated for not using the approved sequence i dont like. i mean does the easyish way have its own name or is the easier deemed a variation on the eliminate - fuzzy logic. :?

the original point was that: most people thought m@ was/is a twat for dissing the g's on this forum.

it was then pointed out that he was claiming an (eliminate) problem he wasnt doing. and berated for not using the approved sequence because he had said bad stuff on cocktalk. the two lines are different in difficulty the one he/you is on is deffinatly not 7b+.

i do not disagree that climbing a straight up "true" line is more fun.
