God it sounds slow and basic doesn't it ? :)House was definitely invented before then. Really came over to the UK in 86, but no doubt people will argue for hours about when it started in Chicago

I got these tapes back in 1990 - from my friend Chris. His cousin was married to Dave Morales at the time - and he was at that night. He recounts how crazy a night it was - and he had full access to the booth etc... at the end of the night Morales comes up to Chris and says how'd you like that with a big grin, and pops a couple of C90's into his top pocket. Badabing...

Cheers Tom - we were out at Nest in Leeds last month and a DJ dropped Adonis' "No Way Back" and it still rocked the dancefloor - some of those old tunes still stand the test of time.
