Definitely don't buy online. The fit is very, erm, distinctive. I tried a pair on in the shop in the same size as I wear miuras. The pain from the pressure of the wrapped-round toe rand on the end of my big toe was unbearable and didn't feel like breaking in would change it. But sizing up would have made the general fit of the rest of the shoe too loose.
Ended up buying pythons half a size smaller that were way more comfortable.
Otoh if speedsters fit you they're probably very good.
