best method for downloading whole website?
January 25, 2012, 10:21:33 am
Any suggestions for the best software/method for downloading a whole website for off-line viewing?

I was thinking of using some kind of Firefox add-on.

Any technical problems I should be aware of?

OS is Windows 10 128 bit

No, I don't want to try an open source OS, thank you Slackers.

Obviously I have already Googled

It's just that you lot are more reliable than un-enlightened internet reading

wget for windows

The recursive retrieval of HTML pages, as well as FTP sites is supported -- you can use Wget to make mirrors of archives and home pages, or traverse the web like a WWW robot (Wget understands /robots.txt).

Lagers,
Having sold 'birdbot' (tm) a while back, is this all part of a plan to assimilate the countless pages of DFBWGC and then reverse engineer a new birdbot2 that works in exactly the same way but isnt actually birdbot (tm).... in the way PC manufacturers first cloned the IBM PC?
