Phone misbehaving
November 25, 2011, 12:44:06 pm
Help.

Yesterday I replaced the 2GB Micro SD in my phone with a 16GB as i kept running out of space. I stuck the 2GB card in my laptop, and cut and pasted all the files on it onto the laptop hard drive, then stuck in the 16 GB card and moved it all back over to that.

Everything works fine, except Spotify won't run now! I've tried switching phone on and off, uninstalling and reinstalling, but every time I try to run the app, the screen goes black for a second then goes back to the original screen.

Any helpful suggestions? It's an HTC Wildfire.

No idea (don't use Spotify), but the first thing I'd try is uninstalling Spotify, removing any folders on the SD card that are related to Spotify (mount the SD card/phone and look for directories, some may begin with a '.'), then reinstall Spotify and re-enter your account username & password.

There was actually a fair bit of spotify related files and folders, so I deleted them all, reinstalled and now works OK. Thanks Slack.
