Lakes recommendations
September 29, 2011, 10:29:10 pm
Having just moved to Lancaster i'm after some recommendations for the best of the lakes up to about 7C+. I've studied Lakesbloc and got a few things in mind already but keen to hear peoples suggestions for the less obvious problems worth seeking out.
Don't mind a bit of a walk to get to some esoteric gem but i'm currently billy no mates so would prefer things that aren't too sketchy.

Lots to look at...
St Bees, Kentmere is a good spot not too bad from Lancs.. Bowderstone, loads more... I suspect GCW will have some more reccomendations for more lurcal things..

Cheers for that Tom, i'm quite well acquainted with the more well known places but was hoping for some specific problems to go at.
Although considering the spanking i just had at Kentmere i might have to recalibrate my grading scale somewhat.

Kentmere style takes a bit of getting used to for me, I bet it was a bit warm there today!

Hynging woods just outside warton is a good place to visit on the cooler days but qite limited number of problems,  woodwell has plenty to have a go at and a good mix of grades and styles.
