grit routes without 2nd ascent
February 02, 2011, 01:22:29 pm
After watching pete W ryan and jb trying ultimate sculpture.
What routes are yet to receive a 2nd ascent?
That route does have a lot less pebbles now.
Mindbridge (maybe)?
Skin and wishbones?
Young pretender?
Rollercoaster?
I guess we can't be sure of stealth ascents ,but someone usually knows

Not too sure about Staff's grit Mark but I have often thought there are a few in the peak:

Peak
Doctor Dolittle?
Dynamics of Change?
Superstition?
Elder statesman?

Chew
Appointment with Death?
Dangermouse?

Yorkshire
Loaded?
Cindy Crawford?

Peak
Elder statesman?

Pretty sure I watched that get an ascent on the "New Shit" film from "Some Climbers" (who did "A Film by Some Climbers" and "Consumed")

Yorkshire
Loaded?

Almost! Jordan and Dave Suttclife very close. When it warms up a tad it should get done.

I'm probably very behind the times, but has MaDMAn been repeated? That is one horrible, horrible route.

Ecky Thump?  ;)

Has Charlie don't surf been repeated at Hawkcliffe in Yorks?
If not then get to it - looks amazing and ground-uppable by the talented.

I had a suspicion this topic had already been done.  Have any of those listed therein been done would be a good start, and there is some discussion of routes with/without ascents in the sticky at the top of this forum.

I dont think routes done 2 weeks before loads of snow arrived really counts Grubes, but for those that care Dana (E5 6c) at Rollick Stones hasn't been repeated.

'Chapeau' if that's the case. Think I tried it with Elmo and got thoroughly shut down on a very reachy move on the arete.

Wonder if Madman is the oldest unrepeated?

An unrepeated list would surely be a good addition to The Grit List Wiki (if it's still active - GCW?)

It could even go in the UKB Wiki which is a cold, lonely, neglected place at the moment.

Still updating it whenever anything happens, Bubbs.  Hopefully as up to date as it can be.

Basically, its in a wood just outside Keighley on the main road way to Earl.

It's really sheltered so suffers a bit with leaf litter and greenness, but late winter / early spring is good. Apparently.

You can't have routes that were done last week on the list! Surely a route has to be at least a decade old to be worth not repeating.

Significant unrepeats?

Dare I suggest Iain Farrar's E7 at Rylstone - A Place to Be is it called? (Sorry in advance if this information is wrong Dense)

I'm sorry I don't know what the starting holds are. Or indeed how to use them.

I think this was flashed by the usual suspects many moons ago
