A colleague had the gaul
Hey, I was being just a touch ironic! I would remind you that our "nice warm" climate does have its drawbacks though!http://www.google.com.au/images?hl=en&q=black+saturday+photos&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=univ&ei=zN72TK3KI4_Ccf359YMF&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CCYQsAQwAA&biw=1004&bih=632

Saw 24 patients - only 2 needed a prescription. We were sure half the people came in as they weren't at work for the day.
in my local GPs there are no late nights and no weekends - it takes 2 weeks to get an appointment. As I work (when not skiving on her) the only way I could get an appointment last month was to say it was an emergency - this was on the receptionist's advice. Although I was blatantly not an emergency.
to anyone digging their car out this weekend; don't be temped to do what some lazy fuckers do and leave a foot of snow on your car roof when driving around, cos i hear the five-0 have been busting people down for this of late.
Icy and snowy weather229Before you set off * you MUST be able to see, so clear all snow and ice from all your windows * you MUST ensure that lights are clean and number plates are clearly visible and legible * make sure the mirrors are clear and the windows are demisted thoroughly * remove all snow that might fall off into the path of other road users * check your planned route is clear of delays and that no further snowfalls or severe weather are predicted
But I'm open rather longer hours than that
