Happy Snowday!

Apologies if you've had to work, but what a superb snowy day.  Bike ride up onto Houndkirk in a blizzard, saw cross country skiers, sledge being towed behind a car, snowboarders and pretty much had the moor to myself.   ;D

Anyone else been having fun?

I've been out along the porter mit kamera, and pulling a toddler around on a sledge.

Saw plenty of boards on the hill by forge dam, and even a couple of homs on a nordic biathlon scene only without the guns.

just found out my school is closed again tomorrow, John , good job I've got loads of marking and planning to do !! If I didn't have a cold I'd be out there with you mate.  Cheered myself up by checking out next years tour de france stages and dreaming of fields of sunflowers and alpine vistas

Yes, it wasn't to bad because of, and I can't believe I'm saying this, the 4x4's.  Nice tracks to follow but it was feckin' baltic!  Blackamoor was highly amusing, managed to get down Devils Elbow Gate without killing myself, so all good

Had snow here every day now since Thursday. Got out on the weekend and took some pics and played with the wee 'un on the sledge on Sat, but Sunday was howling winds and not pleasant. Otherwise been at work, as per usual :( Dumped it down good today again, and forecast to do so again tomorrow. Not lying deep here on the coast, but apparently piling up just a few miles inland apparently ski areas are getting hammered and roads are needing constant ploughing.. Got snow tyres fitted on Saturday hope I haven't cursed it.

Top day, drove the 4x4 up the footpath to Stanage and managed to get some decent bolt belays in situ so we could top rope some good mixed routes.

Nightmare slab went quite easily but Silk was much more problematic.

The only slight difficulties where wen we got a pair of ring ouzels in the air intake and ran over the Chairman of the local RSPB.

I love that for most of the film, only the windscreen wiper moves!
