Slippers for skinny feet?!
September 23, 2010, 12:57:33 pm
I've got skinny feet, normally fit in a pair of 39.5 five ten anasazi LVs just snuggily, looking for a pair of slippers but don't know what to get, have been looking at the fiveten moccasyms or the sportiva speedster, or even cobra if they're still obtainable...
just wondering if people could give me a better clue?!

I have pretty slim feet and found the Moccs massively big on top even if I went down to a size I could on just squeeze into length wise.

I have really thin feet and the cobras fit me amazingly compared to other slippers I've had (v10s, vortex & stix). Shame they are so hard to get hold of.

oh right, the moccs are out then,,,,
I dont think the cobras are easy at all to find,,,,,so hoping on the speedsters but they probably are too sensitive and not-so-durable for my liking, maybe the 5.10 5x looks good...anyone know about it?

people rate them as a font shoe.

My better half really struggles finding shoes because here feet are not only tiny but low volume, LV's aren't actually that LV, they're even sold as 'Medium Volume' which surely means it should be the MV?

I bought some 5x's in Canada .... the 5x's are snug. The combo zip-velcro closure works well.

Tried a pair on today and the area over the toe is a little baggy, but I could live with it depending on how much it stretches.

Has your pair stretched much?

recently ordered a pair from banana fingers, i ordered size 5 but normally wear size 6 anasazi LVs, they fit very tight but they haven't stretched yet, which i expect them to.
no dead room in the shoe apart from a little bit in the heel, which i get with every single shoe so not an issue, very good shoe so far!
the velcro and zip is very good, sometimes i leave the zip undone if i'm lazy :P

Yeah Jim they do one called the Anasazi LV in grey with purple trim but afaik it stops at 7.5 rather than 8 which the blue one used to go up to

:-\ hmmm, seems that the 5X's might be a good shoe to compliment my Dragons.

The blue 5.10 slipper was pretty skinny and a good shoe. Sadly they discontinued it after 20 minutes. Idiots. It was pinks and is now whites for my skinny feet.

I am aware that Boulder UK has a couple of pairs left. I tried them on but they are quite a comfy fit as they are and I know they will bag out too much.

You had to buy them small. If they're comfy new, they're too big.

Chaude, how are you finding those 5X's. I'm strongly considering a pair my current shoes are slowly developing a hole. My oother option is the Red Chili Coronas if anyone has any experience of them.

The 5X's are very good shoes so far, I got them 2 sizes down from my trainer size as I got told that they'll stretch up to one full size. Haven't done much in them so they are still in the process of moulding to my feet. They are stiff shoes to start with just like the anasazis but apparently they slowly get softer (?!). You'll have to get them very tight as they will stretch quite a bit, the zip in the middle helps a lot to the snug fit, it just moulds the upper into your feet (like skin). Fairly narrow shoe I say since they fit me well and I have extremely narrow feet.
My first shoes were red chilis, too wide for my liking, didn't like the rubber either.

Does anyone know if the 5x's are the same last as the moccasyms, ie do you just buy the same size?

I have found that they fit quite differently. Would recommend trying them on.

I got v12 to order me a pair in last week and I've just had a call from them to say that 5.10 have discontinued the shoe.

Why do they insist on changing their line up so often?   :furious:
