Like the title says, anyone know one. Ms Zodsbeard wasn't having it. Anyone would think she'd never carried a bouldering mat down a steep slope before, whilst hand over handing a rope.

A guy there said you could carry on along the cliff top as per the normal route, keep going on, drop down later and double back.

We're camped in St Bee's, I assume you can't walk along the coast as access to the South area is banned at the mo? Please help, I don't want my only taste of the place to have been running around salivating.

Oh the route we tried was the one that brings you under Yellow Desert Scream. Thanks.

I don't think she needs to MTFU, maybe she looked at what the ropes were attached to? The slightest bit of dampness makes the traversy bits on grass ass twitchingly sketchy.

Anyway, go past lighthouse, turn right through a field to s stile, then carry along until there is another style, the path follows the fence on the other side before descending a steep slope. Boulder hope until you see chalk.

Its by no means an easy way down but compared to the fishermans steps its fine.

Which descent did you try, the one close to the foghorn?  I assume so as you say you come out at Yellow Desert Scream, the classic font 7a.

I think Paul's referring to the one a bit further North, and down a gully IIRC.

No it wasn't, there are no ropes on the descent we used.

Paul and GCW your both right. I came out by Yellow Desert Scream, Paul's way is the one the guy mentioned. Cheers for that, syked beyond all belief.

Is that the one almost at the end of the head? Just before where the path bears rightwards? It's ok that. I'd say it's almost as bad as the normal YDS path as there's no ropes, even though the terrain isn't as steep. it's marginally better. I still nearly stacked it, but that might be down to carrying two pads.
