Hi, many thanks for that, ![great :great:](https://ukbouldering.com/board/Smileys/ukbCustom/great.gif)
I basically followed the link but not sure what backlinking is, seems a longwinded way to up load pictures onto a forum site!
The forum doesn't have the facility to host users pictures (it would end up eating up a huge amount of server storage and upping the cost of running the site to Bubba, the site admin).
There are however tons of sites that offer free image hosting such as Flickr, Imageshack, Photobucket etc. so by allowing users to embed images hosted on these sites into the forums it keeps the cost to the forum user down.
Backlinking (a sort of portmanteau of "linking back to") is simply making the embedded picture also link to the page where it is really hosted in you case Flickr. Flickr stipulate this as part of their T&C of usage (when you embed images you're supposed to backlink them), although I'm yet to hear of anyone having their wrist slapped for not doing so it takes a few seconds to do it (if you're using Firefox and Greasemonkey/Allsizes+), and < 1minutes even if you're not using that combination.
