IPV6 and Direct Access in Win7
December 23, 2009, 06:55:29 am
This
link from slashdot details a new remote access strategy could change the way people conduct remote computing if it all works. It has a fair number of infrastructure requirements when compared with good old VPN but could significantly improve the user experience.
Any network admins out there getting worried yet?
Sounds too good to be true? Who knows.... guess we'll have to just wait and see.

We would never in a million years use any sort of network security related software/application/topology from Microsoft. They have major flaws in their basic apps, why would you use them to provide remote access to your business network? Crazy...
Any business with an ounce of sense would not let this come anywhere near their network.

I'm with Tris - I'd not have too much faith in it, it would be a brave business that trusted their security to a new MS technology when there are tried and tested solutions like ssh, pptpd, OpenVPN, Cisco etc...
