BUT the main one that springs to mind was one of the lasses with knuckle lettering (can't remember what it said) that was looking smudged as if it'd been done with a felt-tip pen!

I think she's just lost some ink which makes it look smudged/rubbish.

Some very cool pictures on there, I can't see most of the other links / sites in work though.     Probably just as well as I always end up wanting full back pieces and the like after having a browse.   

I do think it's a shame that tattoos and piercings are seen as something which needs to be hidden in certain jobs, and circles of people, but I don't see it changing much in the near future unfortunately.  I doubt very much there will ever be a time when it's considered alright for me to do a front of house job while sporting full sleeves or a chest plate.

I think it'll become more and more commonplace and acceptable to have tattoos on 'public skin'. Seeing this thread makes me want to get some more work done! Not sure who to go to now though, Diego is pretty good and works from Leeds hrmm

Did getting your foot done really hurt, I am tempted to have something done on one of mine as it's easily hideable, but people have said it's really painful.

I guess it's more painful than your shin (but not as bad as the back of your knee!  :'( or your chest). I always feel OK really if I have a big meal before a session and a couple of ibuprofen. I guess it depends on who is doing it really, it's not so uncomfortable that it should put you off I don't think

EDIT : found one of my leg the day it was coloured, took something like 6 hours

I am guessing shin is similar to the base of your spine, since it's close to bone?  The only other place I have had one done is my stomach, and it was sore, but I think that was more down to the time it took due to skin stretch and pulled muscles from being so tense.   

The one on your leg is cool.  No wonder it took so long, it's pretty involved!
