skid marks
July 16, 2009, 07:06:42 pm
Does anyone else ponder what has causes the skid marks (on the road, do grow up) and wtf the driver was doing?

There are some classic ones on the A6 between Buxton and Bakewell, a good couple of hundred yards long as if a trailer was swinging like a sailor's wife, must have left another sort of skid marks.

Bah, that'll buff out  ;)

I saw one on the M62 which clearly looked as if the car had done a 360 degree spin. eeek, no thanks.

nice to see the left hand wing mirror has been carefully folded in to avoid any further damage!

Yeah I was worried a passing sheep might have hit it and invalidated the insurance claim so folded it in, just to be on the safe side  :P

when I owned a shitty fiat uno - I was driving over this little hill (at some speed) when going over the top I saw an almost stationary car...I had to slam on the brakes and I skidded to a halt...when I checked - therer wasn't any skid marks at all...much to my surprise!
