churnet

Hi, on previous visits to the churnet i've noticed that the car park at the ramblers retreat apparently closes at dusk. This seems quite vague, just wondering what this means in practice. Hoping to get some evening sessions in but keen not to get my car locked in!

cheers

chris

I spoke to the lady that does the locking of the car park a couple of years ago and asked the same thing...

She said she wouldn't lock it if there were cars still in there, but may just rest the pole/barrier/whatever it is across*.

(*It's not my fault if your stuck there all night)

ok, thanks. I will leave my car at my own risk and you will be in no way liable!

I quite often go in the evening's and never been locked in.  Car has been the last one in the car park on quite a few occasions and never had any probs.  I normally leave around dusk though.

Yup not a problem, I've got carried away and ended up bouldering until quite late. Got back to my car when it was dark and gate was open. They are very considerate.

Saying that, watch me get locked in tonight now!
