Bejesus, 12.5lbs for the frame. That'll be nice to push up hill!

And its got adjustable chain stay length and head tube angle - You'll never leave your garage, you'll be in fettling heaven. Until you break it.

Found this on SDH; http://www.southerndownhill.com/forum/index.php/topic,192775.0.html
 :jaw:

What a bargain! If I wasn't going to be dossing for a year and had more spare cash, I'd be highly tempted.
£1800 for a pretty much brand new, full spec bike. It doesn't get much better.

Looking at it, it appears to be some kind of linkage driven VPP (or similar) system. I reckon it's probably got nearly as many bearings and bushings as fatdoc's demo 8...

Single pivot with activation via a linkage to assist tuning compression ratios...

It's a race bike... FR duties require more active and supple systems IMO.

As does steve peat, Sam hill et al.

Face it... You just can't justify a single pivot. Unless you are allergic to maintainance

I concede defeat. On looking again, what I thought was a pivot wasn't...

It's still good value for what it is though!

Steve Peat didn't require more than a single pivot for 6 world championships, why should you?

Peaty has won a shit load more since, on a vpp

Next line of implausible argument awaited... Face it..

Single pivot performance is not the best..

I feel that the only way to solve this single pivot/VPP/hardtail debate will be to have another UKB downhill day, and have a race/timed run...

I'm prepared to be the nominated hardtail candidate.

It's a common problem apparently. Ring hope, and they'll probably tell you to send it to them for a replacement. Bit of an arse having to get the wheel rebuilt though.

Very easy to find from the Stile Cop Road, drive up it and on your right as you get to the top is a gate. Go through and straight on for 200 yds, top of track with a map of all the variations.
