Twitter for conditions reports?
February 11, 2009, 12:55:02 pm
I've been using Twitter at work with a team in different locations and have thought about whether it would be any good for conditions reports at our crags.

For example, one of us could set up Tor_Conditions or Malham_Cove_Conditions as a Twitter. The clever thing is that anyone can send an SMS, email or Twitter to Raven_Tor@replies and it would appear in the Twitter in an instant.

Waddya think...?

Sounds good to me, have been wondering what all the twittering about Twitter was for.  I'm yet to see a useful reason to know what someone is going to go and do (a la Facebook), but this actually would actually have some utility to it

Let me try a test over the weekend and see if I can get it work simply...
