A new sport crag has been developed in North Wales by my old king (Mike Doyle) and Ormesman Norman Clacher.  Penmaen Head is the big crag underneath the old 70 degree hotel in Colwyn Bay. Park up on the hill in a big layby and walk down the stairs to access the crag. So far theres about 56 routes up to 7a. The route styles and rock on the different sectors are quite varied. All in all a great new addition to North Wales. My old king spent about 700 quid and many many days developing this place. There have also been more developments at Castle Inn and Llandullas Cave area. A guide is being produced by Ground Up, not sure when it will be out though. Fucking hell!

Errr it's a lot lot better than that festering road-cutting...

Think Castle Inn quarry - not quite as neat but the same climbing and plenty of choice.
