There is an out of town supermarket complex with a decathlon style climbing shop on the north western corner of the town/city which is we always shopped at and often saw other climbers at. I’d have thought hitching from the nearby junction on the dual carriageway would be a good bet for holidaying climbers. Don't forget, if you are hoping to pick up traffic from the supermarket that the shops are shut midday (12 to 4 or something outrageous like that) and all day Sunday.
