it seems official that three of climbers that did la rambla, used a different sequence from the original of ramon julian.
this sequence is said to be alot easier, and takes a line one meter (sic!!!) to the right.
i find all this quite silly.
couldn't it simply be that la rambla is not 9a+, and that ramon simply climbed it in the hardest way, or in some eliminate way?

Does it really matter what people get up to in their spare time?  It's not as if cocaine is used as a training aid and helped him win the world or anything!  Leave him be.

Surely the fact that Dave Graham seems to eat 9a for breakfast but hasn't done La Rambla despite trying it a lot is an indication that it's probably quite hard.

Cocaine could definitely be performance enhancing. Most people will see this as recreational drug use rather than any attempt at cheating (and it probably is) but it could be.
