Has anyone got some up to date info on what the situation is at TonSai - I know theyre in the process of building some big resort, was just wondering whats left.

From what i've heard, (2 friends emails who have just been out, independently of each other) isnt much noticeable change going on apart from the obvious impact of the tsunami.

I am heading out there in a month before i come to Oz. Ill update you on it then.....

Theres no impact left from the tsunami except for 1 adandoned guest house on the AoNang end of the beach. Was out there 1 year ago and it was business as usual.

Im out on 3rd of august for 10 days - so maybe see you out there. If you need a tour when you get out to Oz drop me a line.

Cool, your in tonsai for 10 days? Climbing? I thought i was the only one stupid enough to climb there this time of year....

I was there this time last year and it was fine. One day of rain and the odd shower but didnt really affect anything. Its quiet and the accommodation is cheap (er) - what more can you ask for

I have - but she doesnt climb too hard so Im sure I can fit in a few days if your about. If I hear of anyone else going I'll let you know

Yeah - just a few k's out of the CBD on the Northern beaches. Heaps of good bouldering round here and some not bad bolt clipping too.
