And i'm not talking about a trio of irishmen.

I'm talking about the trees at the tor. Or more precisley, the trees that used to be at the tor, but are now shitty looking stumps and burnt branches.

If you take out your Peak bouldering guide and look at the limestone section page, of the trees in that photo the one the guy is sat on is now a badly chopped stump (axe?), as is the middle one, and the end one is still there but had most of the branches torn off-  yeah i mean splintered breaks where they've just been wrenched off. load of small branches lying around the place, and a bunch of big burnt branches anall. pretty sure most of this happened this winter.

Now don't get me wrong, i'm not some kinda tree huggin hippy mutherfucker, i just don't get it. it seems every time i got to to the tor there more trees gone. I fucking pray to god that this isn't climbers but some local chavs or something, cos its a fucking sad lookout for us all if it was climbers. The place looks afucking mess now - ok i know it ain't the buttermilks but the trees were good to slouch on and gave some shade in the summer, seems some cunt is bent on cutting em down. So if you see any muthers at it, wade in and aks some awkward questions. word?

Fucking hell, the retards strike again - those trees have been there for ever, and they're part of the Tor - if you want a climbing wall, just go to one

I was walking down there in the winter and it looked like someone had been dossing under there and partying judging by the bottles and other crap! There had been a huge fire and loads of branches had been broken to feed it. Might not be climbers.
On a happier note,  most of em are elders and ive seen them cut right back and grow back reet quickly at the tor several times over the last 20 years

I turned up early'ish on Saturday morning.  Two lads from Sheffield had just spent the first hour cleaning up broken broken beer bottles & cans that had been chucked everywhere - Mart and I took the bin bag home.   I can only assume it was locals from Buxton or thereabouts..... it's a bit of a mess anyway and sad to see the trees disappear.
