rocky mountain is a fantastic summer venue, and one of the few in the states i think, some areas(emerald lake? and stuff like lone star) open by may,  with amazing sunny snowy conditions,  i believe the majority opens a month or so later..?
somehow almost everything seemed to be above v8 to me, but i did only spend a couple of days there, sure there must be a wide spread.
amazingly beautiful area,
wispers of wisdom and large/xl are great problems close together.
most of the other areas in daydream video are really hot in the summer.

With the record-setting snow we are having don't count on it being open until mid to late June, I can keep you posted. PM if you wish.

The rock in Rocky Mountain is brilliant, problems do tend to be hard--very few under V-6. It is an incredible setting as well. There are several other excellent venues in the lower mountains, Poudre Canyon most notably, that would be fine in May. Poudre has a lot of more moderate (V-6 to V-8) porblems. Some new tinternet sites going up, here: http://www.wadedavid.com/ and here: http://coloradoclimbs.com/ which will have rough online guides.

Plenty up in Ute pass and around rampart road range, other plaes may be too warm but watch the dehydration.

I travelled there last summer for 6 weeks and the place is absoutely amazing. The problems are super good and the style of the problems are amazing - very crimpy! Flights to Denver cost a lot, especially if you book your ticket late (like myself)! I would book ASAP as flying to Denver in the summer is peak season. The camping up at the park seemed really nice from what I saw with easy access to the blocs. I stayed in Boulder and its one of the best towns in the states  with sweet nightlife and amazing restaurants. Make sure you get your hiking legs on as the hike can be a bit rough to begin with. Well hope thats some use to you. Have fun if you do go! Dan
By the way, there is an article about RMNP on Dorset-climbing.com that you may like, written by a friend of mine:
