Want a static IP address but cant be arsed forking out for static IP charges?
http://www.no-ip.com lets you have the benifits without the costs.
In a nutshell - a small service you install on your PC updates a WAN side DNS server with the current WAN IP address of your router (still with me?). When you set up an account you choose a DNS name and hey presto - easy permanant access to your home network, any where, any time (your need to tinker with your firewall and port forwarding settings first).
Best of all its free :D
No all I have to do is get my finger out and finish off that website.
Disclaimer - having your computer permanantly attached and accessible from the internet opens you up to all kind of nasties. Make sure you know what your doing before you make port 80 a free for all
