cleaning grit

Well we've got a whole new virgin grit crag to cleanand climb and while I'm preety happy with my technique for slopers etc does anyone have any tips for drying out cracks, pockets and deep breaks? (ie no wire brushing)

Shall I borrow some of the wife's time of the month stuff, is a double sided brush the way forward?

And no, I won't tell you where it is.

Well only for a price

Worth making a visit on a minging damp misty rainy day when the lichen is swollen and soft. Dead easy to clean even with a nylon brush.

I've just used a power washer to clean the outside of my house, man does that fucker ever get rid of the lichen.

NOTE: Stupid people be aware that power washers should never be used to clean gritstone, this post is a piece of light-hearted entertainment and its author will take no responsibility for the natural selection process that will be undertaken by agreived parties should a throwback be discovered power washing stanage.

I find that carrying the diesel generator up to remote crags is enough to stop most idiots from Kascher the crag clean! :-)
