So its goes like this - last saturday we were freezing our asses off at burbage north, bitterly cold, snow, wind, you coulnd't wear too many clothes. Then today at stanage 7 days later it was fucking sweltering, about 20 degrees warmer, no wind. Too hot to even do any meaningful routes. It was like I must have gone to bed in winter and slept for 6 months then woke up and hey presto its the depths of summer. Its fucked up, thats what it is.

I was up near Durham last weekend and even with full body armour and full face helmet  i was freezing. yesterday was at wharncliffe in shorts sweating like a proverbial mother.........its not right

I haven't read any reports, but it was a head-high groundswell with some bigger sets, glassy, sunny etc. etc. About as good as it gets for Nth Wales really...

I was lucky really as I've been super psyched on training for climbing all Winter and barely been in the water, but I just lucked out this weekend....

I just checked the WAMs and NOAA and there's a succession of lows generating swell for the next 120hrs, the wind looks onshore for the middle of the week but then swinging SE'rly again at the weekend..

Looks pretty good for the weekend... have fun.

We had a good session on Sunday afternoon at Wooolacombe, so good to feel the sun on your skin after so long. Then it pissed down with rain Monday and Tuesday, so no chance of getting anything done on Dartmoor.
