first wall I ever went to  :'(
From Helston, head toward Redruth, then right turn just after Wendron to Porkellis. At the t junction by the pub in the middle of the village turn left (down the hill) then right at the bottom of the hill. follow this road for a mile(ish), the barn is on your right by a sharp left bend.
Alternatively... From Helston, walk down the hill and turn left into the blue anchor, and get mashed on spingo. :alky:

OT: A Jooser - reminded me of my youth, had some great times to that band.

Blimey, that brings back some memories. If that is the one I'm thinking of he single handedly built an awesome leading wall in a barn on his dads farm. Climbed there a fair bit in about 1992-3. Put 50p or something in a tin for using it. Nice. The guy used to spend about 6 months a year living on a skydiving range in the US paid for by inking in his (cute danish) girlfriends cartoons. I wasn't jealous.  :( He later got into BASE jumping in the very early days of the sport. He also climbed bloody hard but got bored of it so started skydiving. Heard a lot of good stories about that guy. Most of which I am afraid are 100% true.  :o Original Wad....or maybe it was someone completely different.

Sounds like him. John Snr told me about the AC Shelby Cobra John Jnr built with the proper 427 cubic inch V8 sourced from some massive aeroplane breakers yard in the US where Snr had ex-para mates - the local police chief closed off the Camborne bypass so he & Jnr could test it, apparently 200mph was the result :o Jnr lives in Sweden now I think.
His old man is ex para/SAS hence the skydiving obsession, sound bloke but there are few donkeys missing limbs in the area  ;)
Quality wall, frequented by the West Penwith strong boys good campus board, 45 degree board and cave etc. £1.50 donation I think

Heard a good tale along similar lines from his 'bike' phase. Legend has it he did whole 5 mile section of the A30 on one wheel. At the time this drew much respect from even the most hairy arsed local bikers. Not bad for a rather shy, weedy looking climber
