Depends where you want to be, remember. I know a great little place called Gite Kailloux near Bois le Roi but if you want to be in the Trois Pignons, it's a trek every day. Sometimes it's worth spending that bit more to get somewhere closer - you'll save on the fuel and the faff of having to drive loads every day.

The "chalets" at La Musadiere are worth a thought. They're not bad for the price and very convenient.

In a similar vein I've stayed in static caravans at Les Courtilles du Lido three or four times over the years.  Not as plush as a gite but better than camping, particularly at that time of year.

Shame the Wiki is off-line as theres a section on there about accommodation in Font.

What about trying AirBnb? I've used it in Font with success before.
