Not yesterday, but today (I mean Thursday). It has been raining or snowing in the Snowdonia mountains for a while, so we went to Roadrunner cave. It was dripping (although good last Sunday), so we moved to Marine Drive and found cold dry rock and absolutely no-one else around. Managed the crux of Millenium Drive (Kristian Clemmow's V9/10), but the starting hold of Whiskey Bitch (which I did for the first time last week!) feels a bit loose now (probably having to cope with the stress of sustaining my 13 stone belly!).

Anyway, I'm off to Cogne in Italy to smash some ice up.

What say we all meet at Thorn crag when I get back. I know you've all seen the photos and the tales of virgin projects?

Cheers, Simon.

My mate phoned me from the roaches saying bits were dry but it was mostly damp. Its a nice day today, shame it rained most of last night :(

Get it done Simon, funny that problem didn't  get repeated for about 4 years innit. I was thinking that Choclate Dip ( i thinks its called) probably is worth V8+, pretty desperate, unless there's some easy beta.

A completely crap day, well almost.  Drove to Stanage-Wet  , Drove to Curbar-Wet  , Drove to the Roaches-Wet   (begining to see a pattern?),Drove to Cratcliffe-Wet  , well not so fast, we found a little gem of a route that was almost dry :D .
It is called Genicide (sp) E6 6c and is briliant.  An easy start followad by some awesome, tricky moves which see's you to halfway up the top face, then the holds run out.  Has anyone done it? Anyone tell me how to get into the very top break?
Cheers

James

Me and ScouseD chanced it to the buckstone but the dyno and spring voyage were wet, so went to burbage north (ol' reliable) on saturday, after it rained it was mint. The wind kept the temp down. Finally managed to do that Banana finger Reverse traverse thing (thanks to Nigel Smart for the beyda). We also did some great stuff further on like Jason's Roof and the sitter to that B8 there, about 7b maybe. Saw Rich Heap do the Terrace (just) which was good to see. Not a bad day considering.
