Fontainebleau Accomodation
March 16, 2012, 06:35:38 pm
After a bit of a nightmare where a Gite we thought we had booked ended up being rented out to someone else, me and my old man are looking for somehwhere to stay out in Fontainebleau over the Easter Holiday 31st March to 14th April. Anybody with any suggestions would be massively helpful or equally anybody with room in a gite, we will of course pay our share.

Thanks
Ben

Accommodation in Font, over Easter, at short notice? Blimey.

How about the Formule 1 option? Not exactly the as nice as your own self-catering accommodation but better than nowt.

Failing that, have you searched Chambres D'Hote? Kind of the equivalent of a B n' B in France.

The first result on Google that came up looks pretty gangsta - directly opposite the chateau in Font, would appear to have a hot tub and the option of chilled champagne on order. The latter I assume is in addition to the 90 Euro a night tarrif!

On a more serious note, I think you can also locate them via the Gite De France site.

Hi there

We have a 7 person Gite booked from 31st March for 7 days and 2 people have dropped out due to injury. So 2 places possibly available:

OK - intrigued by Chambres D'Hotes now!

Found this one near Milly, decent looking gaff and looks like 54 Euro per room per night.

More pricey than a Formule 1 but I would imagine infinitely less depressing a location to return to after a day out on the rock. Oh, and they would appear to have a jacuzzi.

At that short a notice if it's available it's probably worth a shot.

Cheers for the replies.
Have managed to find a Gite for the first week (31st for 7 days) so thanks for the offer sheavi but were sorted for then. Might have to stick it out in a formule 1 for the other week but will have a look at those hotel options, cheers.
