siurana guidebook suggestions
November 12, 2011, 09:49:50 am
Hi

Can someone tell me which is the latest and best guidebook for Siurana?

I was thinking of buying Toni Arbones book when out there in a few weeks time but have just noticed this in the UK:
Siurana Rock Climbing Guide Book, Natalia Campillo & David Brasco, Published November 2010.

Any ideas which is best, and whether to buy in the UK or when out there?

Cheers
John

The Campillo/Brasco guide is much better and up to date than the Arbones one.

Only advantage of the Arbones one is the inclusion of El Falco and Raco de Misa.

I'd say the same. The ring bound format of the other book isn't ideal.

I'd echo the recommendation for the Camillo/Brasco one. It is a thing of beauty (no, really) and packed full of practical information. I'm tempted to say it's the best climbing guidebook I've ever seen. I used one on a recent trip, and found it really quick and easy to use. Route-finding is a doddle, for an area where there aren't many route names written on the crags.
