I haven't used sika or similar to reinforce holds before but had a go with a Wickes product which mixed ok but it didnt set 

The product I used was this

I popped into Jewsons and they stocked Fischer Fip300Sf but it looked like it needed as specialist applicator.

Any recommendations on using the Fischer stuff with a regular applicator or an alternative suitable product and where to get it in Sheffield?

Try Travis Perkins in Darnall.  They're Sika distributers. I got some Sika Anchorfix from them a few years ago.  Worked a treat.

Just been picking Rob Napier's brains and he has bit of spare sika. Seems like the Hilti HY70 you can get from the Hilti Centre in Don Valley is a good option and is used for glue-ins but needs a specialised applicator.

Apparently Paul used car body filler to glue a hold back on Mecca Extension but wiped some on the bit you hold which gave it the friction of glass!

You sure he didn't get any on Mecca groove while he was up there?

For info; the Sika Anchorfix used a standard 'Bathroom Sealant' type applicator.
