Prows That Sit Start (7b) - West Chevin
March 18, 2011, 11:49:46 am
First ascent Mat Wilcox;

Had a look last night.
So we were starting R hand on the good hold half way along right side of roof, left hand similar on left side. R foot on back wall, left heel on small edge on left of back wall.

R hand slap to good hols.....then we tried various ways.

Any Beta please?

Calm down.

Start LH on crimp, RH on arête of the back wall. Pull on and put your left heel on an edge around the corner, slap LH up to hold on the prow at the beginning of the overhang. Slap RH out to the good hold half way along, then left hand all the way out to the furthest part of the arête, RH up to the undercut-type hold on the R arête. Right heel on the good hold half-way along, RH up to the right-most point of the edge where it meets the arête, left heel on and slap all the way over to the ledge, right toe on an edge close to your hip, slap RH to the arête over the edge, left toe on near right toe, slap LH up upper arête, stand up.
