t-crack, cratcliffe, tick or no tick?
June 20, 2010, 10:00:16 pm
finally topped out t-crack at the weekend, but unsure if i get tick as there are so many rules associated with this problem.....started from back detached block into under cuts then into sloper below break with right hand, toe on starting block and left hand up to middle of break on sloper right of the chip, then foot loose and campus to sloper pocket, then swing left foot to break and then lock to fininshing pocket.......just would like clarification on tick....if possible?????

:-\ I think your feet should have left the block before your hands are in the break. You could just walk off left otherwise; that's about the only rule I'm aware of though.

was wondering more about the heel hook, i can do start either with foot on block or with toe hook and both feel about the same, but will do it with toe hooks from now then........but is heel hook kosher????

Both heelhook out left and foot on the starting handhold are fine. As long as you're not standing on the starting block left of the crack (except the first move obviously) or using any chipped holds then you're good.
