Yew Cogar Conditions

Has anyone been yet this year? Any idea whether it's likely to be dry at the minute or is that just wishful thinking?

Haven't been yet this year (We cannot visit another crag until my better half ticks spacerace at Malham) but I am busting to get there. Reckon it would have been dry last week but probably wet this weekend after a few days of wetness....I too am waiting for some positive feedback. It's simply the best wall in yorkshire, but don't tell anybody else, eh, stabbsy.

Down on Saturday. Was Ok on the top but fuck me twas baltic at the crag. had forgotten if its anything less than scorchio you've got your work cut out staying warm. And it was raining. Bailed to Malham in the pm which was mediterranean by comparison. ( cogar was dry by the way). Whilst waiting for cloud cover I couldn't help thinking we should have gone to Kilnsey......

went about 3 weekends ago. it was bone dry but dusty. Reckon it will still be bone dry as everything has been dry in yorkshire for several weekends.  Take a big brush however in case its had no more visitors since i was there.

Cheers
Tim

Definately all dry as is all of Yorkshire Lime. I brushed 10 Year Itch which was pretty dirty and cleaned up Love Sculpture, Strictly B Team and Yew terrace. We also did Cruisin' For A Bruisin' which was pretty clean but unchalked. Some of the lower offs could do with improving specifically the single bolt ones on Love Sculpture and 10 Year Itch.

Do you have to phone the farmer for access, or has he got bored of people phoning up yet?

Nothing on the BMC site to say you do. Have a look here
