Costa Blanca Beauties...
March 25, 2011, 11:19:02 am
Unfortunately this isn't a thread about the cheekies in the Costa Blanca, more a selfish plea for your favourites!?
I've been there before, and have (of course) a ticklist, but considering it is a popular area, would like to know what you guys think...
What are your favourite routes throughout the 7s (and possibly a few 8as)?
Thank you kindly!
Robin

A long time ago I was at Sella, but I remember La Generacion Yogur at VIPs as being good. Crag gets warm, but you can head over to Wild Side if it's too hot.

Manhattan Blues and La Indecisa at El Collado good too. As is the bridging 6c(+?) up the groove to the left.

The classic 'Valencianos' on Penon - easy romp, but a great route, if only for the views alone.... Good memories of that place

Via Costa Blanca on the PdI is also very cool. crux pitch gets 6b+ or 6c?

Thought hora de millau at 7c at wild side in sella was awesome . Powerful bottom tufa with sustained climbing for the next 25m going through some really impressive terrain.

good for an easier day

nothing harder than 6b+ really

very enjoyable and varied climbing

I particularly enjoyed the pitch that went up from the gully to a big ledge (3rd pitch ?)

Soz yez. I forgot P3 meant protection in some some strange counties.

Oh to be in Yorkshire in the springtime.........

Thanks for the above - did El Navigante up the Penon which was AMAZING! Absolutely knackered after it though!
